Our second GRS meeting of the fall is just a few days off. We are hoping most of our former and current members will be able to attend.
Our program is – BRING A ROSE – yes, it is time for us to share what we have in our gardens right now. Hopefully everyone will have something to bring after Ian passes. Bring a stem, bring a bouquet or whatever you have. We will spend some time sharing summer rose growing challenges too!
This meeting will be crucial in assigning rose show duties for our upcoming November show. Its success depends on your participation. All the duties are listed in these pages, none of them are difficult. If you are new at this, we have experienced members who will lead and assist you, so don’t be afraid to volunteer.
This first ever Fall GRS show will be great only if we all participate in both helping and bringing a few stems and bloom roses. For our first-time exhibitors, we are offering a full one-year free membership to GRS. This offer will carry over if you are already a member. This will enable you to learn, have fun and get a year’s education on how to grow your roses better.
This year we have scheduled various programs that will be informative while having the comradery with our rose friends. These programs will be listed on our website and in the newsletter. It’s time to get back together, have fun and share our love for the rose and our special hobby. GRS needs all of us!
