We had a multitude of very positive comments on our program last meeting stations offering information on roses; (pruning, arrangements, photography and fertilizing) and we are very pleased that you enjoyed and learned much from the program.
I do hope that you pruned and fed your roses after last month’s meeting since we are getting ready for our rose show scheduled for April 13th. Jean Geisel and her committee have been working very hard on preparations for the show. Thank you to all of the members who have been working on the show and we expect it to be a great show especially in view of the fact that we will be having it at the Village at Gainesville; a great venue!
The Westwood Middle School garden project is going well especially with nature’s rain fall. We did ask The Garden Gate Nursery to donate some spring plants for this project and they are on board with that. Many of their students have expressed interest in the photography area of the show and we are urging them to participate.
Our program presenter this month is Ralph Stream, Regional Director, and he is presenting the American Rose Society Great Garden Restoration power point program that our new, Deep South District Director, Cindy Dale, has supplied to each of our societies. It should be enlightening to see the progress that has been made in the project. We hope that you can make this meeting.
Please do not forget to bring your raffle item gifts. Lee and Bob Kline are providing the refreshment.
Yours in Roses,
Lee Kline, President
